Revisting the Disneyland Hotel Koi Fish

Sunday, August 1, 2010

Lets revisit The Huntington Library and Botanical Garden, new home to the Disneyland Hotel Koi fish.
If you missed my last post about the Koi fish, when we visited them in the Japanese Garden, you can find it here. This time around we headed to the Chinese Garden and the North Vista Lawn.

The Chinese Garden, also known as the Garden of Flowing Fragrance, is just as beautiful and peaceful as its Japanese neighbor.
You will find many pavilions and bridges to explore. Centered in the middle of it all is a large lake. This is where you will find some more of the Disneyland Hotel Koi fish.

The water is a bright cloudy green right now, but if you take a moment to peer over a bridge, you may just find a Koi fish greeting you at the surface.

Before we headed out for the day, we made a stop at the fountain in the North Vista Lawn. To our surprise we found some more Disney Koi. These guys loved people. A small group was gathered at the edge to look and touch these Koi. The Koi were not shy, and we really got to see up close how beautiful and bright they are.

You can find the Chinese Garden located inside The Huntington Library.
The Huntington is open Wednesday-Monday, closed Tuesdays.
