Filming at Disneyland

Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Last week Disneyland was filming what appeared to be a commercial of some sort. I was there on Tuesday and caught them filming Mickey walking down the sidewalk on Main Street in front of Plaza Inn. He would embrace two children in a hug, and then he would interact with them.
Below is a short video. They had extras walking on Main Street, so those are not actual guests walking in the street. They also had 3 Mickey balloon sellers as extras in the background.

Then my friend Michele from Power Shots Photography was at Disneyland on Wednesday, and she caught them filming more at the end of Main Street.
Here are some of her photos from that day:

Thanks to Michele for sharing these photos with us!

Today I have a special guest post.
KatiePirateTink on Twitter likes to share some beautiful shots of the Disneyland Resort from her Flickr account. She was nice enough to do a guest post today with a couple shots from Fantasmic.
I'd like to thank KatiePirateTink for sharing these great shots on my site. Make sure you follow her on Twitter and say hello.

Adventures with the Mouse #5

Friday, July 15, 2011

It's been awhile since Mickey has shared some of his adventures with you. He's been on many, and right now he is really loving his Soundsational Parade. He likes it so much that he has brought some of his friends along with him including Duffy and Dolly.
Dolly watched from the back of the Little One's stroller one day to keep out of the sun, but she still saw the whole parade from that view.
Mickey returned for another adventure with Dolly and Duffy, and they spent a good hour watching the animation loop in the animation building. Dolly was so excited to see herself in the Toy Story 3 segment.
When Mickey wasn't entertaining his friends, he was busy riding It's a Small World...
and wishing he could go on Tower of Terror. Unfortunately he doesn't meet the height requirement, but he has hope to be snuck in a purse one day.
Mickey also tried the new Tangaroa Terrace, where he ate the Hawaiian cheeseburger  and sweet potato fries. He approved!
Did you enjoy Mickey's Adventures? Why not join in? Submit your photos on the Magical Days with the Mouse Facebook page, and I will share them on my next Adventures with the Mouse post.

This time around we have three people joining in.
The first set of photos were submitted by Michele from powershotsphotographs.com
This  second set was submitted by Naomi from Twitter @PixiePerfect411
This last set was submitted by Jonny from Twitter @Jawk
As you can see, you don't have to have a Mickey to play along! Bring your Oswald, Duffy, Woody, Princess, Mater die-cast car, etc with you to the parks and snap pictures of them having fun.

Missed any of Mickey's Adventures? You can catch up with the rest here.
You can see ALL submitted photos here, and please "like" the
Magical Days with the Mouse Facebook page if you haven't already. Once I hit 400 fans I'll be giving away a Mickey plush for you to take your own adventures along with, and a surprise from the Disneyland Resort. So tell you friends!

Mickey Mouse at Paradise Pier

Thursday, April 14, 2011

Did you know that if you walk up Paradise Pier in Disney California Adventure, there is a newer place to take your photo?  Look for the red roofed gazebo with nautical bunting hanging above. Do you see it at the very end there? Let's get a little closer, shall we?
Ahhhh there we go.  The Mickey shaped life saver at the front of the gazebo makes for a great spot to take a photo.
If you go earlier in the day you can find Mickey there to greet you too.
Little One showing Mickey the roller coaster.
Don't worry if you don't see Mickey out though because he takes turns with Duffy. Duffy is just across the way in his own photo area. The Little One got his picture with Duffy first, then we rode Mickey's Fun Wheel, while waiting for Mickey to return after Duffy was done taking pictures. If you want to know when one or the other will return for photos, you can ask the cast member that is the character handler that day. They will give you an exact time of that characters return.

Adventures with the Mouse

Friday, February 11, 2011

Welcome to our new series of posts... Adventures with the Mouse.
We invite you to join us with our pal Mickey, as we have fun around the Disneyland Resort.
Come along won't you?
We have this sick little addiction... you might have heard of it, it's called Vinylmation. Mickey eagerly watch over our shoulders to see which Toy Story Vinylmation we pulled.

 Aha! It's Lotso!
Nothing beats relaxing on the front porch on Main Street.  Just ask Mickey!
We all worked up an appetite and headed over to Carnation Cafe for a bite to eat.
Water for Mickey and macaroni and cheese too.

Later we all took a ride through Monstropolis and posed for pictures outside too.

Mickey spotted his dear old teddy, Duffy. They got caught up on all their latest adventures.
Mickey said "See ya pal" and tried to catch a ride on the train.

He waved us all goodbye, but realized he wasn't getting very far.
So back he joined us for some more exploring around the park.
As it turns out, he was lucky to still be with us. Max shared some of his gingerbread cookie with him. Such a treat.
As we finished our day through Downtown Disney, Mickey waved goodbye until another day.
